How Does Propecia Work?
Propecia is the only drug for treatment of DHT that has been approved by the FDA. This drug works by blocking the formation of DHT therefore stops the development of hair loss for men.

DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is the natural metabolite of the human body that is the key factor for hair loss. It is the body substance that shrinks hair follicles and inhibits hair growth.

The use of Propecia proves to reduce further risk of hair loss and brings back the vertex hair visibly. It was specifically developed for treatment of mild to moderate male pattern hair loss for men.

This drug is not recommemded for women and children as it was specifically developed and tested for men only.

Like all synthetic medications, Propecia has its side effects, one of them and this is the reason why some stopped taking the drug is the loss of sexual desire, slight erectile dysfunction and the reduction of amount of semen. Propecia tablet are coated for protection and to avoid contact with the active ingredients though accidents can not be totally prevented, so it is better to be safe and throw away crushed or broken tablets.
